Shri Binod Kumar assumed charge as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Indian Bank on January 16, 2025. He has also completed Diploma programmes in Treasury, Investment & Risk Management and Banking & Finance from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) and Leadership Skills Development Programme at IIM Bangalore.
Shri Kumar began his banking career as a Management Trainee with PNB in 1994 and brings over three decades of rich, cross-functional experience to his current role. His areas of expertise encompass Branch and Administrative Office Operations, Risk Management, and Corporate Credit.
He has previously served as Chief Executive Officer of PNB's Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) branch and as headed the Corporate Credit Division of PNB as Chief General Manager.
Shri Kumar is also a member of the IBA Managing Committee and chairs the IBA Standing Committee on Corporate Credit.
He also serves on the Governing Council of IIBF and the Governing Board of the Indian Institute of Bank Management (IIBM), Guwahati.
