Ind Health Care – The Loan That Powers Healers

Picture this. A dedicated orthopaedic surgeon has spent years building a clinic from a modest two-room practice into something the community genuinely depends on. Now there’s a plan to add an MRI suite. The vision is clear. The equipment quote is on the desk. What’s missing? The right financial partner.

Here Ind Health Care comes into the picture – Indian Bank’s purpose-built loan product for the healthcare sector. It is not a one-size-fits-all business loan. It is built specifically for the healthcare sector – for hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres, and the brilliant professionals who run them.

Who Gets to Apply?

The short answer: practically everyone in the healthcare ecosystem. Hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic centres, pathology labs, X-ray and MRI units, eye care centres, ENT clinics, skin clinics, dental clinics, dialysis centres, IVF centres, physiotherapy centres and the list goes on. If it delivers medical care or diagnosis, this loan has it covered.

No medical degree? Not a deal breaker. Entrepreneurs without medical qualifications are also eligible, provided the right medical professionals.

What Can the Money Go Towards?

This is where Ind Health Care really earns its name. The loan is remarkably versatile:

  • Purchasing medical equipment including ancillary tools.
  • Setting up diagnostic centres, pathology labs, CT scan units, MRI centres, or ultrasound facilities.
  • Direct purchase or construction of premises for any medical facility.
  • Renovation of existing hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centres.
  • Working capital requirements for day-to-day operations.

Type of Facility

  • Fund Based: Working Capital and Term Loan
  • Non-Fund Based: Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credit.

How Much Can You Borrow?

Loans start at a minimum of ₹10 lakhs to a maximum of Rs 50 Cr.

Repayment That Respects Cash Flow

Every healthcare facility starts somewhere, and a steady stream of patients builds over time, a new MRI machine takes time to fill its appointment slots. Ind Health Care accounts for this reality. Equipment loans come with a moratorium of up to 6 months; construction loans get up to 18 months. The end-to-end repayment tenure is a maximum of 120 months. During the moratorium, only interest is payable, giving your venture the breathing room it needs to find its feet. Repayment is structured through equated monthly instalments, with the option of increasing instalments tied to your business’s growing repayment capacity.

Rate of Interest

The rate of interest under the Ind Health Care scheme varies depending on the type of security offered, CGTMSE coverage, and whether the loan is for outright purchase or construction.

The Pleasant Surprise on Fees

Processing fees and documentation charges are offered at 50% of the standard card rate. If you are transferring your existing loan from another bank, both documentation and processing charges are waived entirely i.e. a 100% concession for takeover cases. At Indian Bank, we’d rather welcome you in than charge you for the privilege.

India’s quality healthcare needs are growing, and so is the opportunity for those who serve them. New diagnostic centres are coming up in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Specialist clinics are expanding. Medical professionals are building practices that serve communities for decades. Behind every one of those efforts, there is, or should be, a financial partner who understands the business.

Ind Health Care is Indian Bank’s commitment to being that partner. Whether you are a seasoned hospital administrator looking to upgrade your facility or a first-time entrepreneur ready to open a new centre, this product is structured to meet you where you are.
