Indian Bank has launched Virtual Banking Experience (VBX) for our existing customer. This dedicated platform is designed to serve digital-savvy customers who prefer to fulfill their banking needs through online channels rather than visiting physical branches.
The platform delivers a seamless, secure, and personalized banking experience through the enhanced IndSMART mobile application, enabling customers to conveniently access a wide range of banking services anytime and from anywhere.
Eligibility Criteria for VBX
VBX is available exclusively to retail customers of the Bank who fulfills the following conditions:
- Hold an active personal CIF and an operative savings account.
- Have not visited a branch in the last 9 months (barring exempted transactions/visits *).
- The retail loan account should be standard (performing), wherever a loan facility has been availed by the customer.
- Digitally active one(Debit/Credit) transaction during the last quarter.
* Exempted Transactions/Visits:
- Locker operations
- High value transaction (> ₹5.00 lakh) through cheque (which is otherwise not possible through digital channels)
- Loan service-related visit
- Forex transactions
- Physical Term Deposit closure at branch, which was opened on or before 30.09.2025
- Activation of dormant/in-operative account and cash deposit in dormant account, in case of multiple saving accounts with one CIF.
Upon fulfilling the above eligibility criteria, customers are segmented based on the relationship value as below.

Downgrading of tiers for VBX customer
Since VBX customer enjoy exclusive VBX benefits based on the relationship value maintained with the Bank, it is advised that all customers maintain the required relationship value to continue enjoying VBX benefits. Otherwise, the accounts may be downgraded to the next eligible tier, and the associated benefits will no longer be available.The downgrading exercise will be carried out on a quarterly basis.
